Guess who has her picture in an American (Beer) News Paper

Today, the Ale Street News came in. It’s the same newspaper I told about in my post on the Ultimate Beer Tasting we went to in April. It has 90.000 subscribers in the United States and Europe and is probably well known in the world of Brewers and Beer lovers. (That means that most of you guys will have never heard of it, but still!)

And guess who’s picture is in it? Yes, ours! apparently the editors liked to show that there were also young belgian people at the tasting.. And not everybody can say that they had their picture in a paper :)

Big NY News

As some of you might have heard (I know, I can’t stop talking – or should I say bragging?- about it), My plan is to go to The States from March till June 2008. I will be spending most of my time in the surroundings of New Jersey and New York, where I will try to convince Americans to buy Belgian products like chocolate and waffles, but I am also planning on doing some sightseeing, some (or a lot of) shopping, some ‘birthday celebrating’, and lots more!

You might think “It’s only November, and she’s already looking forward to that? Well yeah, why not? It’s the first time that I will be away from home this far, this long. Who wouldn’t be excited? Laurens and Elke, two of my Markting buddies, will be joining me in my big adventure.

Anyway, the big news is: We bought our tickets today! Now it is “officially official”. I’m leaving on March, 24. The first stop is Munich, and then it’s off to Newark. The people at Connections gave me a really nice file to put my travel documents in. It says : “Enjoy your trip”. Well, I don’t think that will be a problem!
