Guess who has her picture in an American (Beer) News Paper

Today, the Ale Street News came in. It’s the same newspaper I told about in my post on the Ultimate Beer Tasting we went to in April. It has 90.000 subscribers in the United States and Europe and is probably well known in the world of Brewers and Beer lovers. (That means that most of you guys will have never heard of it, but still!)

And guess who’s picture is in it? Yes, ours! apparently the editors liked to show that there were also young belgian people at the tasting.. And not everybody can say that they had their picture in a paper

Hurray ! the day that our freedom arrives is finally here. Yes indeed, from today on, we have wheels! It’s a nice Metallic Kia Rondo.

Not a day too soon, because we already have big plans for tomorrow! As I was reading the local beer paper, I noticed that there was an interesting event held at the Empire State Building : Ultimate Belgian Tasting III. A lot of Belgian breweries and Belgian style breweries will present their beers, accompanied by culinary tasting treats, in a unique NYC ambiance. I started thinking to myself: wouldn’t it be fun to go there? So I mailed my dearest daddy, who has some connections in the Belgian beer world. 24 hours later he got it organized. Martina, Laurens, Elke and I are really looking forward to this event, as we all heard so many stories about it. Pictures will be taken! Thanks Dad!

As for the rest of the week : Friday we are off to Washington DC, to discover the beautiful capital of the United States! Saturday we are going to watch the Cherry Blossom Festival Parade, and maybe we will also get the chance to taste some of Washington’s student night life!
